Medication Usage Evaluation Manager® Version 1.0

Introducing the MUE Manager for PALM, PC or MAC from Hand Medical and Insight Therapeutics. Medication Usage Evaluation is a process for assessing the appropriateness of medication usage /disease management and is a standard of the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO). The process typically includes data collection from patients’ medical records or other sources. This data is typically analyzed in aggregate to determine trends or opportunities for quality improvement. This program includes software for a hand held PDA (operating with a Palm or Pocket PC OS) and a desktop version (PC or MAC). Use your PDA to collect your data and your desktop version to analyze and manipulate your aggregate data and to print your reports.
The program is available with four different database sets including Long Term Care, Hospital, Infectious Disease, and Psychiatry. Each database set comes with the MUE Manager software and thirty different drugs or diseases. ($269.00 per database set) Once you have purchased one or more database sets, you may order single drugs or disease databases. ($25.00 per drug/class/disease) There are over 200 drugs/diseases available to choose from. All software and documentation manuals are distributed via e-mail.
